PGWP Eligibility Tightens: Canada Limits Work Permits to Select Study Programs

Canada has introduced major changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program, affecting international students planning to study in the country. Starting September 1, 2024, only graduates of select programs at designated learning institutions (DLIs) that appear on the official IRCC-approved list will be eligible for a PGWP. These changes are part of a broader effort to align education with labor market needs and maintain the integrity of the immigration system.

We are committed to helping international students make well-informed decisions about their studies, immigration goals, and career pathways in Canada. Contact us to learn how these updates may affect your plans.
