NACHMAN PHULWANI ZIMOVCAK APPLAUDS PRESIDENT OBAMA’S STATEMENT ABOUT IMMIGRATION REFORM DURING HIS STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS.

RIDGEWOOD, NEW JERSEY – The immigration lawyers and attorneys at Nachman Phulwani Zimovcak (NPZ) Law Group, P.C. commend President Obama for emphasizing the need for immigration reform in his State of the Union address on February 12th 2013. Focusing on the economic benefits of immigration and the consensus that is building around the need for immigration reform, the President noted the importance of a roadmap to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented, and the need for real solutions for the “legal immigration system to cut waiting periods, reduce bureaucracy, and attract the highly-skilled entrepreneurs and engineers that will help create jobs and grow our economy.” He called on Congress to move forward and “get it done.”

President Obama expanded on his views on enforcement and border security, saying that “Real reform means strong border security, and we can build on the progress my Administration has already made – putting more boots on the southern border than at any time in our history, and reducing illegal crossings to their lowest levels in 40 years.” The issue of Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) is a difficult one to tackle because immigration continues to be such a “political football” so President Obama’s commitment to creating an immigration system that works shows that he is willing to take-on the “hard” issues during his second term,” says David Nachman, Esq., one of the Managing Attorneys, of the NPZ Law Group with its Offices located in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

We have an antiquated, dysfunctional immigration system and families are being torn apart every day, while innovators who want to come to the United States and start businesses that would benefit the economy are instead being driven to other countries. We need to do better than this, our country deserves better than this. Working together, Congress and the President can respond to this need. We hope that the President’s words jolt Congress to work hard to put together an acceptable Bill during the next several months.
