With a mandatory 14-day quarantine period for travelers, Canada has some of the strictest travel and border measures in the world. Beginning April 22, 2021, Canada has suspended all commercial and private passenger flights from India and Pakistan for 30 days. The travelers will now take a negative Covid test from third country before continuing their journey to Canada.
Over the past few months, the Government of Canada has introduced enhanced testing requirements for travelers arriving in Canada. These requirements include mandatory submission of contact, travel and quarantine information via ArriveCAN, pre-arrival (land) or pre-departure (air) testing, on arrival testing and again later during 14-day mandatory quarantine period. The Government also ensures suitable quarantine plans and a mandatory hotel stopover for travelers arriving by air while they await the results of their on-arrival test before completing the remaining mandatory 14-day quarantine period.
