コロナウイルスが急速に広がったため、病院は患者の入院スペース確保や医薬品の不足で深刻な問題を抱えています。この人員不足問題に取り組む為、多くの州の医学部生は数ヶ月早く学校を卒業しています。またすでに退職した元医療専門スタッフ達に現場で働いてもらうよう呼びかけています。

上記の状況に基づき、弊社からのお知らせとして、外国の医療専門家(専門スタッフ)が、H-1BビザCAP免除の基本ルールに基づき、米国で働く資格を得る可能性があることをお伝えします。

資格を得る為に米国雇用主は、H-1BビザCAPを免除される組織であることを証明する必要があります。非営利研究機関、政府研究機関によって提出されたH-1Bビザ請願は、H-1Bビザの抽選から免除されます。非営利研究機関とは、研究や応用研究を主に行っている組織のことをいいます。

一部の病院は、高等教育機関との関係、または関係に基づいて免除されています。場合によって、病院が医療従事者（看護師、医療技術者、医師、医師助手、歯科専門家、薬剤師、メンタルヘルス専門家 等）に臨床トレーニングを提供する共同管理プログラムに基づいている組織も免除の対象になります。
2020年3月26日、米国国務省(DOS)は、米国の非移民で、承認された資格証明書を持つ医療専門家(専門スタッフ)を奨励すると発表しました。
この発表は、コロナウイルスによって通常のビザサービスの停止期間中にもか関わらず、米国大使館、領事館が適格な医療専門家(専門スタッフ)のビザの発行を迅速化することを示唆しています。

交換訪問者プログラム(DS-2019)で、特にコロナウイルスの為の治療、または軽減するために活動しているプログラムで働く予定の人は、最寄りの大使館または領事館のウェブサイトでビザの予約を申請する手順を確認してください。
また、米国にJ-1ビザステータスで在籍している外国の医療専門家(専門スタッフ)は、プログラムスポンサーであるECFMGにご相談ください。
