2024年7月30日 - 米国市民権移民局(USCIS)は、2025年度(FY2025)のH-1Bキャップ登録の第2回無作為抽選(ランダムに選ばれる)を発表しました。これは、3月に実施された最初の抽選に続くもので、最初の抽選では高度学位免除の対象者が含まれていました。第1回抽選では、選ばれた申請者が2024年4月1日から6月30日までの間にH-1Bキャップ対象の申請を提出することができました。
一般キャップの追加選考が必要
USCISは、FY2025のH-1B枠の数値を満たすためには追加の登録が必要であると判断しました。したがって、第2回無作為抽選が行われ、以前に提出されたオンライン登録者が対象となります。このプロセスでは、以前と同じ無作為抽選方法が使用され、選ばれた登録者にはUSCISのオンラインアカウントを通じて通知されます。

USCISは、高度学位免除(マスターズキャップ)については第2回選考が行われないことを確認しました。このカテゴリーのFY2025の数値割り当てを満たすための登録および申請が十分に受け取られているためです。

第2回目の抽選で選ばれた登録者には、申請期間および手順を詳述した通知が送られます。申請者はUSCISのオンラインアカウントを確認し、更新情報、選考通知を確認する必要があります。

H-1Bビザプログラムは、専門知識と学士号以上の学位を必要とする専門職に外国人労働者を雇用するためのものです。H-1Bビザの年間キャップは65,000で、米国の修士号以上を持つ個人には追加で20,000のビザが利用可能です。
