米国移民局（USCIS）は、2024年度のH-1Bビザの初期登録期間が3月1日午後12時から3月17日午後12時までの期間に行われることを発表しました。申請者や雇用主はオンラインH-1Bビザ登録システムを使用し提出することができます。

USCISは、提出された申請に対し確認番号を割り当てます。この番号は登録を追跡するためだけに使用され、Case Status Onlineでステータスの確認をすることはできません。

この申請の対象となる申請者や雇用主は、登録を行うためにmyUSCISオンラインアカウントを使用する必要があります。また10ドルの登録料を支払う必要があります。オンライン登録を行う人は2月21日午後12時から登録者用のアカウント作成ができます。

登録者は3月1日までに申請者の情報を入力し$10の費用を支払い登録を送信する準備ができます。またオンライン上で複数の申請者登録を送信することができます。アカウントを通じ、各登録の最終支払いと送信前に登録を作成、編集、保存することができます。

USCISが3月17日までに十分な数のオンライン申請を受け取った場合、USCISは登録をランダムに選択し、myUSCISオンラインアカウントを介して選択通知を送信します。もしUSCISが十分な登録を受け取らなかった場合、初期登録期間に正しく提出されたすべての登録が選択されます。USCISは3月31日までに全員に通知する予定です。また米国財務省は、この登録のために一日あたりのクレジットカード制限を24,999.99ドルから39,999.99ドルに一時的に増加させることを承認しました。
