Updated Department of State Guidance Regarding June 22nd Presidential Proclamation.

On August 12, the U.S. Department of State issued updated guidance regarding the June 22, 2020 Presidential Proclamation. This Presidential Proclamation restricted issuance of visas for H, L, and certain J nonimmigrants. Almost two months later, the Department of State issued updated guidance regarding these restrictions.

The updated guidance provides information for H-1B, H-4, L-1A, L-1B, L-2, J-1, and J-2 nonimmigrant visa applicants and outlines additional national interest exceptions to the Proclamation. While the Proclamation is still a roadblock for many, this updated guidance provides a pathway to obtain a visa for certain individuals.

Despite the Proclamation, the immigration and nationality lawyers at NPZ Law Group. P.C. have successfully obtained National Interest Waivers And National Interest Exceptions on behalf of our clients and we hope that this updated guidance will lead to even more success in allowing our clients to obtain visas.

The Lawyers at NPZ Law Group, P.C. continue to remain vigilant about ever-changing guidelines and visa restrictions.
