U.S. Department of State Moves Business Visa Inquiries to Visa Navigator

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has announced a significant change to how Business Visa inquiries are handled.

  • Since July 2005, the Business Visa Center (businessvisa@state.gov) has assisted businesses, partners, and customers around the world.
  • As of March 2025, DOS has transitioned away from this system. All inquiries must now be directed through the Visa Navigator – Business Visa Center.

According to the DOS update:

  • Inquiries must be submitted through Visa Navigator prompts.
  • Direct emails to businessvisa@state.gov may not receive a response.
  • The Business Visa Center aims to respond within three business days, though complex requests may take longer.
  • Duplicate inquiries can delay processing.

The Visa Navigator – Business Visa Center is typically found on U.S. embassy and consulate websites.
