This region includes South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia. There are no direct flights between Canada and Southern African countries till further announcement.

Foreign Nationals who have travelled to Southern Africa region within the previous 14 days will not be permitted to enter Canada. For Canadian citizens, permanent residents and individuals with status under the Indian Act, will have to go through enhanced testing, screening and vigorous quarantine measures. This will be regardless of their vaccination status or any previous history of testing positive for COVID-19.

Canada continues to maintain pre-entry molecular test for vaccinated and unvaccinated international travelers arriving from any country to reduce the risk of importation of COVID-19 including variants.
